This year, we have chosen “Colour”as an essential presence or absence in art, as the central theme of our stand. With paintings by Josef Albers, sculptures by John Chamberlain and Dan Flavin, photographs by William Eggleston, ceramics by Alessandro Pessoli and collages by Martin Maloney, we will focus on the creative possibilities and spatial effects of colour.
The power of its absence will be accentuated in “Femme Maison”, a white marble sculpture by Louise Bourgeois, in “Solide Plastique # 22”, a contrasting matt and glowing black sculpture by Didier Vermeiren, in drawings by Richard Serra and Anne-Marie Schneider and in the b&w photographic works by Robert Mapplethorpe, Adam Fuss and Jan Vercruysse.
The gallery is participating for the first time at “Art Basel Unlimited” with “Location (5)”, a large installation by Hans Op de Beeck. New sculptures, drawings and photographs by this young Belgian artist will also feature on our stand. A selection of his videos has been put at the visitor’s disposal at the “Vidéothèque” of Art Unlimited.
We would be happy to meet you on our new stand in Hall 2.0, Nr. P2.
