Overige informatie
Flatland Gallery is a Dutch contemporary art gallery founded in 1983 by Martin Rogge. The gallery is internationally acclaimed (especially) in the field of contemporary photography and with a burgeoning reputation for film, video, installations, sculptures and drawings.

For over twenty years Flatland has enjoyed a high reputation in bringing talented contemporary Dutch artists to the fore of the international art scene. Flatland acts as a primary dealer for artists Erwin Olaf, Ruud van Empel, Rob Hornstra, Jaap Scheeren, Florian van Roekel, Hans van Bentem and other talented artists.

Situated in a former school building on the site of a 15th century cloister in Utrecht, Netherlands, Flatland Gallery includes 350 square meters of four exhibition spaces, defined by high ceilings and skylights.

In 2007 Flatland Gallery opened an office and viewing space in Paris, on the edge of the Marais and the artistic Oberkampf area, adding an additional 300 square meters to its exhibition space. Flatland Paris is located in the gallery of Gallery Magda Danysz, a contemporary and highly credited Parisian gallery whose focus is digital, urban and visual art. Additionally Flatland holds its own publishing-house.

In 2012: The newest site of Flatland Gallery in Amsterdam, providing roughly 100square meters of exhibition space, will launch with an inaugural exhibition by Carolein Smit on September 8th, 2012. Situated on street level on the Lijnbaansgracht 314, Amsterdam's most traditional art dealing area, Flatland Gallery Amsterdam consists of a main, basement floor gallery, which is a naturally lit space.
