Museum of contemporary art and design.
Five galleries with a total size of some 2,000 square metres (21,500 square feet) provide space for alternating exhibitions.
Another gallery area on the first floor is partly used for the MARTa Herford Collection.
A gallery overlooking the River Aa contains the MARTa Restaurant seating about 60 diners which serves excellent cuisine in a relaxing creative atmosphere. Architect: Frank Gehry.
